Updated YouTube Channel

If you haven't checked it out yet our Youtube Channel has a new and improved look. All of our old videos are still there and a brand new video from our Open Mic Night! Go on and visit the page; leave a comment in the discussion section about what you love, hate or just say "hi". 

WRBC Goes Off Air

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you WRBC: The Blaze is going off air. We've had a good run but it is time for us to move on. The directors met and agreed to go out when we were at the top. We are sorry to disappoint our legions of loyal listeners who tuned in day in and day out to hear our diverse music and original shows. 

Check Ebay in the coming days for your chance to bid on our pieces of the station. We'll be selling our mics, sound board, chairs, left over candy and more! (We need the money since none of the staff is paid unlike other student organizations). The bidding for all items will start at $50. 

You can follow our DJs in their careers as they go off to smaller and worse things. Cause let's face it, they hit it pretty big at WRBC. 

Leave your goodbye comments below! Maybe one day WRBC can come back, with Kickstarter perhaps or more money from the very school that funds us. Regardless, we wish all our fans well. Just promise you won't find another another station and listen to them. Promise it! Good.

Greetings! Bonjour! Hello! 

Thanks to everyone that came out and performed at The Open Mic Strikes Back! We had a lot of fun, and if you missed it we will be posting video hopefully within the next week or so. Our next event will be"Date a Beauty, Date a Beast" were Roosevelt students will be auctioned off for dates. Proceeds will go to a good cause, the Mawuvio's Outreach Programme which is a non-governmental school and orphanage that provides free education and care for children. Mark your calendar for February 12, at Congress Lounge from 6-8 pm.

If you didn't hear the news, The Blaze's own Dan Smrokowski was featured on CBS news last night! Rob Johnson talked to Dan about his show "Special Chronicles" and all the great work he has been doing with his blog and podcast. The video is down below, you can get a really good look at the station. And some other guy named "Chris" pops up too.

Winter Break and Video Round-Up

I have good news and bad news! Good news: Winter Break is here. Bad news: Just about all of our staff is away for the holidays and won't be doing their shows. But fear not, we will use this break to recharge our batteries and come back better than ever. All your favorite shows will be returning, The Temperamental Coconut Hosted by Chris, The Dj and Friends Show, Sports Talk, Happy Hour, College Issues and many more!

This week we had a cavalcade of videos on our YouTube Channel. Check out behind the scenes, fans interviews and other goodies. We have much more video content in the works next semester, like an original web series staring our staff. Exciting, right?
