WRBC Goes Off Air

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you WRBC: The Blaze is going off air. We've had a good run but it is time for us to move on. The directors met and agreed to go out when we were at the top. We are sorry to disappoint our legions of loyal listeners who tuned in day in and day out to hear our diverse music and original shows. 

Check Ebay in the coming days for your chance to bid on our pieces of the station. We'll be selling our mics, sound board, chairs, left over candy and more! (We need the money since none of the staff is paid unlike other student organizations). The bidding for all items will start at $50. 

You can follow our DJs in their careers as they go off to smaller and worse things. Cause let's face it, they hit it pretty big at WRBC. 

Leave your goodbye comments below! Maybe one day WRBC can come back, with Kickstarter perhaps or more money from the very school that funds us. Regardless, we wish all our fans well. Just promise you won't find another another station and listen to them. Promise it! Good.

Blaze News!

Lets dive right in, shall we? On Tuesday at 8:30 pm in Congress Lounge is The Open Mic Night! We're collaborating with SPEED on this. I can guarantee you'll have fun, if not at least you can enjoy the free food.

Dave Grohl of The Foo Fighters made a documentary, Sound City. There will be a screening of it on March 28 at the Wabash Building, room 317 at 8:30 pm. Don't want to miss out on that either.

And finally, on April 11th in Congress Lounge at 7 pm, Blazefest! It's our little music fest to end the year with a bang. We've got some great talent lined up, our headliner is Marina City! Get excited now and tell your friends.
